[ takeover campaign proposal ]
It was December of 2024, and Fandom was preparing to roll out a completely new navigation bar. At the same time, they were preparing to introduce new, innovative ad concepts to try out with the start of the new year.
This marked the introduction of Fandom's Triple Play Bundle - a bundled brand takeover that includes a Skybox Banner, a smaller Flyout banner, a custom Fandomized logo (custom Fandom logo done in the style of the brand), and the all-new Navigation Overlay Animation.
The creative direction was a Star Wars inspired execution, that required me to showcase a fleet of X-wing starfighters flying across the navigation bar to attack the sponsored logo. The logo then transformed from the Empire symbol into the logo of the Rebellion.
The result was a standout creative that showcased the full potential of the new Nav Overlay for future sales pitches. I'm proud to have had the opportunity and responsibility to bring this concept to life, by combining my design expertise with the project's technical requirements.
The concept was approved with just minor tweaks and quickly became a centerpiece in Fandom's official sales decks.
